Horan Logistics Group LLC was founded in 2025 by the Horan family, building upon over two decades of experience in transportation, courier services, and logistics management in Ireland. The family’s first venture in logistics began in Wexford, Ireland, where founder Kevin Horan established a small but rapidly growing courier company. Starting with just a single van, the business expanded steadily, at its peak operating over 70 vehicles and serving major contracts with international carriers such as UPS Ireland and DHL Ireland.

From these beginnings, the Horan family developed an in-depth knowledge of transportation operations, fleet management, and customer service in a highly competitive industry. Over the years, each family member assumed key roles in the business: Kevin spearheaded operational leadership, while his sons — Max, Kian, and Sam — gained hands-on experience in vehicle management, driver supervision, and dispatching. By 2019, Sam Horan had joined full-time as a Transport Manager, playing a crucial role in scaling the Irish operation and introducing more structured logistics processes.

Recognizing the growing opportunities in the United States freight market, the family made the strategic decision in 2025 to expand into North America under the newly formed Horan Logistics Group LLC, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The U.S. entity will operate 26,000 lb. box trucks, Mercedes Sprinter vans and semi trucks, leveraging the family’s dispatching expertise to secure both spot-market freight and dedicated customer contracts.

The long-term vision for Horan Logistics Group is to replicate and scale the proven Irish business model, transitioning into a mid-sized U.S. carrier with a mixed fleet of box trucks and semi-trucks. With their combined experience, disciplined operational model, and a strong reputation for reliability, the Horan family is well-positioned to establish a sustainable logistics enterprise in the United States.
